Hareket Heavy Lifting and Project Transportation Co. was established to provide bond-discharging service in the Port of Karakoy-Istanbul.Hareket also specialized in the field of sea freight in Marmara and Black Sea regions.
Hareket began renting out road transportation equipment in Turkey.
After having initiated the incorporation with 3 partners, Hareket turned into a family company under the leadership of Abdullah Altunkum.
Hareket continued growing due to new investments in state of the art transport equipment and trailers. In this year Hareket also successfully completed its first major transport project at the Turkmenbashi refinery in Turkmenistan.
Hareket purchased new heavy duty crawler and mobile cranes and established a heavy lift crane division.
In this year Hareket started with its first long term heavy lift project at an offshore fabrication yard in Azerbaijan for a duration of 2.5 years
Hareket has become a major player in the international project transportation and heavy lifting business.Additionally, Hareket started targeting and executing lifting projects in the wind energy sector
Harket won the prestigious ESTA Excellence award for the transport job of the year, which was executed in Turkmenistan involving the transportation of eight heavy loads over a distance of 1250 kilometers.
Hareket continues to expand its presence internationally by opening branch offices in Dubai; United Arab Emirates and Seoul; South Korea.
Uzbekistan Turakurgan Combined Cycle Power Plant and Navoi-2 Combined Heat and Power Plant project is awarded with the Jury Special Award in 10th Atlas Logistics Awards.
Hareket has opened two more international branch offices in Ukraine and Oman.
